About ArcheryRangeAtlas

ArcheryRangeAtlas is a free directory of archery ranges and pro shops in the United States. We list indoor lanes, outdoor and 3D courses with addresses and phone numbers so you can find a place to shoot without digging through ads.

What is in the directory

1,975 archery ranges across 50 states and 1,667 cities and towns. Every listing has an address; 91% list a phone number and 17% publish opening hours. A city gets its own page only when it has at least two archery ranges to show — places with a single range are listed on the state page instead, so you never land on an empty page.

How it is built

We start from open geodata — the Overture Maps Foundation places dataset (CDLA-Permissive 2.0), which includes Foursquare OS Places (Apache 2.0), and OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL). That raw feed is then filtered to keep only real archery ranges: wrong categories, duplicates and closed locations are removed, chain branches are matched to their brand, and the fields you see on a card — hours, services, website — are checked against the business's own website where one exists.

The result is a list you can call from, not a scrape: what we could not confirm is left blank rather than guessed. Population figures on city and state pages come from the U.S. Census Bureau's population estimates and are used only to show density — how many archery ranges per 100,000 residents.

Corrections from owners

Business owners are the best source of truth about their own hours and services, so we write to listed businesses and ask them to check their card. So far 78 corrections sent in by owners have been applied to this directory — new hours, a changed phone number, a moved address, a service added or removed. Corrections are free and do not change where a business appears on a list.

How often it is updated

The directory is rebuilt from the source data and owner corrections on a rolling basis; this build is from September 2026. The industry news page is refreshed on its own schedule. Even so, details change faster than any listing can — always confirm hours by phone before you go.
